Motorcycle and scooter enthusiasts and rider organizations worldwide encourage their members to ride to work on this day. More info at www.ridetowork.org. 18-19: Vancouver, WA – Baby Boomer Bikers RallyThe Baby Boomer Bikers Rally will be held in Vancouver, WA in conjunction with Hot July Nights, featuring Peter Frampton and the Beach Boys. It is going to be an exciting weekend in Vancouver. Approximately 3-5,000 people will attend Hot July Nights each night at Esther Short Park. Our bike event is sited ½ block south of the Park. We are planning on having 500 bikes, but have space for 1,000. And, the vibrant Farmers Market is also taking place on Saturday next to the Park and ½ block from the bike event. The Rosalia Motorcycle Association has done a complete overhaul of “The 100 Years of Motorcycle rally”. The event has been given a complete face lift, including a new promoter, a new date, and even a new name; “The Rosalia Rally”. This year promises to be our best event ever, with even more hot bikes, great music, games, and all the events bikers want. After a pep talk from the Chief of Police, the Lakewood Police Motor Officers will lead the group from LAkewood through University Place then to the Tacoma waterfront, into Fife and Puyallup, eventually leading bake to Lakewood’s Fort Steilacoom Park for the City of Lakewood’s Summerfest where there will be a motorcycle safety display. Our traditional WSP escorted ride starting from Qwest Field in Seattle will end at the White River Amphitheater (WRA) in Auburn for the first annual Rock ‘n Ride Concert! Join Paul Yaffe and Keith Wong for a great day of riding, music, food and vendors. Children’s Ride 13 offers three registration levels this year. All ride registration levels include the WSP escorted ride, catered lunch, pin (while supplies last) and admission to the Rock ‘N Ride Concert. Pre-register by June 12 and receive a T-shirt and patch. Since the concert is not festival seating, we encourage riders to register as a group if they want to sit together.
