Mass of Motorcycles Slows Highway 3 Traffic

By John Davis • Apr 28th, 2009 • Category: Blog Posts

Th following is from the Kitsap Sun (emphasis added by me.):

BREMERTON — A group of about 100 motorcycles slowed southbound traffic on Highway 3 at around 12:20 p.m. Saturday.

No one was able to pass the mass of motorcycles as it made its way at the speed limit past the Chico and Kitsap Way exits, and through the Gorst turn, according to scanner reports.

The large group was said to be headed to Lacey.

So, let me get this straight… a group of motorcyclists obeying the law slowed traffic? How does that work? Sounds like some Kitsap Sun reporter was late for a date at the latte stand and couldn’t get past those law-abiding bikers.

Based on the comments about the article I am not alone in my disgust.

  1. I've had it with those darned motorcyclists. This is yet another example of their 2-wheeled antics, where they get out on the road together and terrorize neighborhoods by:

    - obeying the law
    - riding safely

Its these kind of behaviors that give all riders a bad name. For shame.
