No you’re not at the wrong site. Northwest Cycle News has undergone a redesign. The new look is intended to better organize the information on the site into more meaningful categories. In addition, it it is intended to enhance the visual appeal of the site by incorporating more photos. Here are some highlights of the new design:
- Up top you will find the Lead Story. These are longer-format articles than the typical news bites. Expect the Lead Story to change every month or so; similar to a print magazine.
- Over on the left you will find Features. These are also will change approximately monthly and will include event reports and other items of interest that don’t fall neatly into the News category.
- In the middle column are recurring “Department” type articles.
- Over on the right are Headlines and Blogposts and the sponsor ads.
Many of the sections will change monthly, however, unlike a print magazine, they may not change all at once. So one week a new safety article may appear and the next week a new feature stroy may be published. The News headlines are updated daily so you can continue to rely on Northwest Cycle News to have the news you need.
Those of you who use the RSS feed will get the updated content in your feed as it is published. Weekly newsletter subscriber will receive new content weekly. (You should have received an email from my new newsletter email service, Feedblitz.)
In all the changes are intended to make Northwest Cycle News more visitor-friendly and visually appealing. I do hope that you agree. As always, if you any feedback or suggestions, please drop me a line at editor@northwestcyclenews.com.

Like the new look John. Cleaner. The green text on white background is a bit hard on my old eyes.
Nice, very nice. Clean, easy on the eyes.
Thanks for the feedback guys.
Iso, I darkened up the green a bit; hopefully a little easier on the eyes.
John, most excellent update on your site. Keep up the great work! Don’t let the legal guys intimidate you…it’s the way of the web these days to keep the little guy down.
