Northwest Rider and Writer Nominated for Oscar

Correction: Jack Lewis has not been personally nominated for an Oscar, the film for which he contributed a segment and appeared in has been nominated. Should the film win the Oscar, the award will go to the director. Still… pretty darned cool!

Northwest motorcyclist Jack Lewis has been nominated for an Oscar for his story “Road Work” depicted in the documentary “Operation Homecoming: Writing the Wartime Experience.” In addition to writing the segment, Lewis also appears in the film which has been nominated in the Best Documentary Feature category.

Lewis once contributed a story to Northwest Cycle News entitled Coming Home. The story was republished in Motorcyclist magazine where Lewis now has a regular column.
