Time for the annual tally of vehicle deaths and once again, motorcyclists are in the forefront:
The number of deaths on U.S. roads fell last year to a record low fatality rate but motorcycle deaths rose for the ninth year in a row.
According to the NHTSA, the number of motorcycle deaths rose by 5.1 percent last year to 4,810, marking nine consecutive years of increases.
OK anti-motorcyclists, ready… set… go!

And why did the MSF dumb down the BRC a few years ago? No wondeer states are starting their own programs. I guess MSF is just concerned about selling bikes.
I hate when they use the total number f deaths to show how bad bikes are. That number doesn’t mean anything by itself…You have to know if the number of bikes on the road or better yet number of miles ridden has gone up also…If bikeriders rode 8% more miles last year, for example, then a rise of 5.1% in total deaths would actually be an improvement over the year before.
This is why I hate statistics…You can prove either point of view depending how you use the numbers!
