I have had several different helmets, of varying prices, over the past 7 years.
Last week I bought a Fulmer at Eagle Leather. The helmet fits like it was custom made. It feels great. It was lots less $$ than most of the other helmets.
I am a Fulmer Fan, for keeps.

My old helmet was purchased in 2003. There are several small but still obvious changes beyond the DOT sticker. These changes could have become standard anytime after I purchased my old lid.

Having ridden with it for a couple of days now I can say that the faceshield does seal better and that it is quieter as a result. (I even rode to work this morning without ear plugs.) In short, I am well satisfied.

As with any "NEW" helmet the feel will be different. Actually the only change to the Fullmer helmet is the DOT lable on the back.
