It’s time to get your campsite or hotel room reserved and think about packing your gear, ‘cause Tumbleweed Five, or “Cinco de Tumbleweed” is just about here!!

The North Cascades Highway is open and the road is clear. We’ve been making runs over to get things ready and the event is going to be a blast this year! The Poker Run route is set, the Observation Ride is ready to be observed. The town of Winthrop is putting out the Welcome mat and the fun is ready to begin!

The Great Northwest Chapter of the Harley Owners Group invites you to grab a few friends and ride to Winthrop for the Run that’s become one of the highlights of the Pacific Northwest summer riding season. Some of the things we have in store are:

A Friday Night Follies, including skits, laughs and a ton of raffles for great prizes!

An unbeatable Poker Run!

A truly great Observation Ride through the amazing countryside of the North Cascades!

A Poker Walk on Saturday

A fine Mexican Dinner, with all the trimmings, on Saturday night!

The annual Western Costume Contest, where you can show off yer duds and win cool prizes!

The traditional Barn Dance on Saturday night, featuring the Resonators, a kickin’ band!

And, of course, the ever-popular Hog Wild Games!

All day Saturday, when you’re not riding, you can take part in some of the goofiest games ever held at a HOG Run! One of the highlights this year is the Shootout at 3-Fingered Jack’s Saloon, where would-be gunslingers (western outfit required!) square off in the center of town at High Noon, to see who’s the fastest gun! You provide the holster, but we’ll provide the shootin’ irons (they’ll be filled with water, so you’ll probably get wet!) The Shootout will be officiated by our own “Hangin’ Judge”, the Rev Walt.

Tumbleweed 5 is an event for motorcyclists and their families, so bring the whole clan. It’s open to all bikers, regardless of what you ride!

Registration is just $50 per person, for the whole show, and that includes the full dinner and a commemorative t-shirt, if you register by June 15^th. Registration after the 15^th of June is still $50, but you don’t get the meal or the shirt, because of the deadlines on producing the shirts and getting the info to the caterer!
