Judge Acquits Driver Involved in Double Motorcyclist Fatality
By John Davis • Mar 25th, 2007 • Category: Northwest Cycle News HeadlinesJudge Frank Avera said there was no doubt that Sharon Hartley, 41, was at fault when her pickup crossed the center line on Highway 18 in rural Polk County on a clear, dry day and sideswiped another pickup before slamming into the two motorcycles.However, Avera said Thursday on the second day of a trial, the prosecution failed to show that she took the substantial and unjustified risks required for a finding of criminal negligence.

The court errored. The prosecution may have been incompetent.
It is still Manslaughter, at the least.
Would any biker have been granted this slack if the tables were turned…..? Nope.
Prejudice still thrives in the US. We have just changed which minorities to target.
