Motorcycle Bloggers International 2007 Rider’s Choice Award Nominations Are Open

Nominations for the 2007 Motorcycle Bloggers International Rider’s Choice Awards are now open.

The MBI Riders Choice awards are given for events, actions by a person or group and new products sold for the first time during the award year.

We want to recognize both the best and worst within the motorcycling world so there are two types of awards: Star and Fallen Star. The former is for noteworthy achievement and the latter for serious lapse of judgement.

Nominations are made within categories by MBI members and the motorcycle riding public who then vote for their choice in each category.

You can submit your nominations by visiting www.mbiweb.org. Award categories include:

• A rider’s dream - The dream ride, tour or event that given enough time and money you most want to experience.

• Best exhibition of 2006 - The best motorcycle exhibition of 2006.

• Best looking new in 2006 motorcycle - The most aesthetically pleasing production motorcycle that was first delivered to dealers in 2006.

• Best manufacturer’s website - The motorcycle, accessory or related product manufacturer’s web site that has the best mix of quality design, content and ease of use.

• Best motorcycle blog - The most interesting motorcycle related blog of 2006. (NorthwestCycleNews.com readers, you know what to do.)

• Best new in 2006 every day motorcycle - The production motorcycle most suited to commuting that was first delivered to dealers in 2006.

• Best new in 2006 motor scooter - The overall best production motor scooter that was first delivered to dealers in 2006.

• Best new in 2006 motorcycle - The overall best production motorcycle that was first delivered to dealers in 2006.

• Most promising new in 2006 concept motorcycle - The concept motorcycle displayed at a show for the first time in 2006 whose features are most appealing.

• Object of lust - The production motorcycle of any model year that is desired above all others.

• Thumbs up - The person or organization who during 2006, made the most significant contribution to motorcycling.

• Wish we’d thought of that - The new in 2006 innovation, accessory or other motorcycle related product that is the best idea of 2006.

• Women riders booster of the year - The person, company or organization that has most contributed to the advancement of women motorcyclists during 2006.

• Thumbs down - The person, company or organization whose action(s) during 2006, most harmed the motorcycling community.

• Ugliest new in 2006 motorcycle - The worst looking production motorcycle that was first delivered to dealers in 2006.

• What were they thinking? - The new in 2006 concept or production motorcycle, related product or other idea that is the worst idea of 2006.

• Worst manufacturer’s website - The motorcycle or related product manufacturer’s web site that we most hate to visit.
