Astoria, OR Mayor Willis Van Dusen appeared in Astoria Monday at a hearing to determine if he’ll surrender his driver’s license for a year for last month’s drunken-driving arrest. A ruling is expected by Friday.
A Department of Motor Vehicles administrative law judge took testimony from an Oregon State Police trooper about the Sept. 4 incident, in which Van Dusen collided with a small pickup at 17th Street and Irving Avenue while riding his motorcycle. Van Dusen refused to give a blood-alcohol test after the crash and was cited for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

I feel no kinship with the mayor. He is a repeat offender and this makes me question if he has run the government with the same lack of responsibilty for his actions. Makes me wonder.
