Oyster Run

This weekend is the premiere motorcycle event of the year; the Oyster Run. I plan to be there on Sunday with folks from the VTXOA forum to enjoy the sights and sounds. Last year set a record for accidents; so please be careful. The traffic in and out of Anacortes is extra heavy so be extra cautious and bring your patience.

The Highway 20 exit off of I-5 always gets backed up. So here’s a tip: Get off I-5 at Conway and head for LaConner. After crossing the Rainbow Bridge in LaConner, stay on Reservation Road until it joins up with Highway 20 just west of the bridge onto Fidalgo Island. Turn left and join the parade of bikes into downtown. It’s a much nicer ride and you’ll avoid much of the traffic.
