The National Highway Traffic Administration (NHTSA) has ordered Triumph
Motorcycles of America to recall the popular Daytona motorcycle and
several other models because a cooling system failure could cause the
engine to seize and lead to a crash. Also recalled are the Triumph Speed Triple, Sprint and Sprint with ABS.

You may recall the tale of the Red River Tragedy from the first issue of Northwest Cycle News. Briefly, 15 year-old Gerald Bailon was driving his grandparent’s truck, crossed the centerline and struck two motorcyclists. Two motorcyclists were killed and their passengers injured. Washington State Police are invistigating a road rage incident
involving 15 motorcyclists and an automobile driver. The incident,
which occurred near Tacoma, WA, began off the highway when the

Jeffrey Cull, 40, saw traffic slow to a stop on Route 519. Gerald
Ethridge, 74, who was behind Cull was distracted and looked awy from
